28-bore Back Action Sidelock Hammer gun by W. R. Leeson, Serial No: 1086

28¼" Damascus barrels chambered for 2½" cartridges, barrels carrying original London proof marks c.1896 to 1904 and London Re-proof c 1986. Carved percussion fences with conventional concaved game rib, carrying the makers name and address W. R. Leeson Ashford, Kent. The right hand barrel being choked RH = ⅛, the left hand barrel = ½.

This back action hammer gun is  very well engraved with rose and scroll and carrying the maker's name “W. R. Leeson”.  The forend release is of the Anson style mechanism. The top lever spindle is also fitted with an additional locking screw.

Nicely figured straight hand English stock with 13¾" LOP.
