Webley triple screw grip
with Dolls head extension. Leeson style fences engraved rose and
scroll with leaves. “W R Leeson” in
upper banner and “Patent Screw Grip” in lower banner.
Action fitted with Intercepting sears and disc set strikers. Beetle
style safety.
Stock:
Straight hand 14½” including 1½” beautifully matching walnut
extension, with drop points.
The gun bears
London provisional proof, view and definitive proof marks which
dates from 1887. The barrels were nitro proved after 1896 and the gun
was re-proved in Birmingham.
