Original London Proof House marks 1896 - 1904, later
re-proved in Birmingham.
No:1 gun of a pair of back action sidelocks.
Fitted with removable disk
set strikers with additional locking screws. Leeson style
conical fences with
best bouquet and
scroll engraving. Lock plates engraved W. R.
Leeson. Top lever fitted with additional locking screw
through spindle.
Nicely figured straight hand English stock
measuring 16" including 3" extension. Possibly not original stock,
stock may have come from donor gun.
Anson push-rod for-end release.
