20-bore Sidelock Ejector by W. R. Leeson, Serial no: 1442

28” steel barrels in excellent condition, concaved game rib engraved W. R. Leeson, Harewood Place, Hanover Square, London W. Fitted with Webley Screw grip with Dolls Head third bite extension. Choked approximately ¼ right; ½ left. London proof marks, stamped for 2 ¾" magnum loads. Likely this gun was rebarrelled by W R Leeson early in its life since serial number and address do not correspond with one another.

This back action sidelock has full rose and scroll engraving and Leeson style conical fences. Lock plates engraved W. R. Leeson both internally and externally. Action face fitted with disk set strikers with retaining lock pins. Top lever main screw also fitted with retaining lock pin. Gold inlaid Safe marking.

Highly figured Tiger stripe straight hand English stock. ¾" Silvers style recoil pad providing LOP at 15¾".

Anson type forend release.
