cartridges and carrying original London Proof House marks 1904 to 1925.
Action made with Leeson style conical fences and fitted with removable disc set
strikers and intercepting sears. Action fitted with Webley Screw Grip with
Dolls head third bite extension. Automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail,
finely engraved with
best bouquet and acanthus scroll. Top lever fitted
with additional locking pin. Action bar engraved with makers
name W. R. Leeson. Some traces of original colour case hardening.
Fitted with Boss improved patent single-trigger, patent no. 11278 of 30th
March 1905, rolled-edge trigger guard, trigger-plate engraved 'BOSS'S PATENT
NO.11278.
14¾" nicely figured straight
hand stock (modified from original Prince of Wales form) including 1" wooden extension.
Bolstered fore-end with Anson Push rod release mechanism.
