Back action sidelock hammer gun with
side-lever. Action constructed with clipped fences. Action
ornately engraved but without makers name.
30"
London proofed (possibly proved 1887-96 - Black Powder) Siemens steel barrels
sadly beyond repair (de-activated via drilling). Barrel rib engraved “W. R. Leeson
Ashford, Kent Siemens Steel”. Fitted with third bite "Dolls head"
extension but not of the Webley Screw Grip patent.
Straight
English 14¼" highly figured stock, broken at the hand, with
chequer cut steel butt plate. Anson push rod type fore-end release
mechanism. The following inscription is engraved on the rear tang of the
trigger guard "Simonis A LB".

Sadly the gun is well beyond "economic" repair having
been purchased in Ireland from an antiques dealer back in the 1960's having
already been de-activated.
