12-bore Boxlock non-Ejector by W. R. Leeson, Serial No: 527

28” steel barrels, engraved A Sanders 79 Bank Street, Maidstone indicating likely re-barrel of gun in early life (proof marks indicate after 1924).  Utilizing the Webley Screw grip third bite with the Dolls head style rib extension. Chambered for 2½" cartridges. Choked approximately LH ¾ and RH Improved.

The action has chiselled fences with high levels of scroll engraving. Action bar engraved "W R Leeson Patent Screw Grip". Fitted with Disk set strikers pins. Non Ejector mechanism, action engraved No:2 of possible pair.

15½" figured walnut straight grip stock. Forend fitted with Grip fore-end as patented by Charles Harvey c.1866 .
