Top lever back action sidelock non ejector with re-bounding locks.

Action in rounded style. Lock plates engraved W. R. Leeson. Use of third bite in addition to sliding under-bolts but not Webley Screw Grip design.

28" Nitro proofed steels barrels, choked RH ¼, LH ½. Barrel rib engraved "W. R. Leeson Ashford, Kent Siemens Steel". 2¾" chambers.

Originally carrying London proof marks suggesting manufacture between 1887 & 1896. Serial number and address would suggest c.1890. Gun later re-proofed for Nitro loads and 2¾" cartridges by Birmingham Proof House.

Snap locking forend.
