28-inch Siemens steel
barrels with 2¾" magnum chambers, choked ¼ and ¾, nitro re-proof,
very clean bores. Conventional concaved game rib, engraved W. R. Leeson
Ashford, Kent, (Siemens Steel) & 3 Warwick Street, Regent Street, London, W.
Webley Screw grip third bite extension. The second part of address (3
Warwick Street) is an addition to the original engraving, possibly added
following major barrel work c.1918 onwards.
The action bar engraved
with fine bouquet and scroll some original hardening color retained. The
maker's name “W. R. Leeson” signed within a scrolling banner along
with “Patent Screw Grip” also in scrolling banner. Typical “Leeson”
conical/fluted fences. Anson push rod fore-end release.
In its original makers
canvas case with accessories. Original trade label included with attached
address changes and also a suggested cartridge loading label for different
quarry.
