½. Carrying original
London Proof House markings
(1896-1904) and
stamped for 1oz of shot and 40 grains of
Schultze
powder. Conventional concaved game rib, engraved W. R. Leeson
Ashford, Kent.
Action makes use of the
Webley Screw grip with blade type third bite extension.
The lock plates are engraved
with fine bouquet and scroll some original hardening colour is retained. The
maker's name “W. R. Leeson” is signed on the lower edge
of the lock plates.
Conventional fences with fine chisel detail line. The standing breech is
fitted with disk set
strikers and additional retaining pins. Anson push rod forend release.
In its original makers
leather case with accessories and trade label along with suggested cartridge load label for different
quarry.
