12-bore Sidelock Ejector by W. R. Leeson, Serial No: 1435

 

 

High quality sidelock with re-sleeved 30" nitro proofed barrels in excellent condition. Barrels choked RH - Half, LH - Full. Carries original London proof marks, re-proofed by Birmingham proof house.

Fine scroll and border fully engraved action with the finely fluted (Leeson) fences, lock-plate engraved W. R. Leeson. Note the disk set striker pins complete with additional locking screws in the action face. Also the top-lever also has an additional locking screw securing the lever to the spindle - both signs of a quality action. 

Fitted with well figured straight hand English stock.  The fore-end fitted with the Anson push-rod type release.

Cased in its original leather case with makers trade label, addressed Ashford, Kent & 29 Maddox St, London, W.

Gun was purchased from W. R. Leeson by the current owners great grandfather and has remained in family ever since.
