16-bore Boxlock Ejector by W. R. Leeson, Serial no. 1468

 

 

28" sleeved steel barrels (originally 30") with original London nitro proof markings and Birmingham re-proof marks. Barrels not engraved with makers name, original top rib probably not re-used following sleeving. Chambered for 2½" cartridges and choked approximately ¼ and ½.

Boxlock action with Leeson style fences and intercepting sears. Makers name W R Leeson engraved on action bar. Action makes use of Webley Screw Grip with Dolls head style rib extension. The striker pins are disk set and utilize retaining screws. Fully engraved edge and scroll work.

Stock: 15½" well figured straight hand English stock, no extension.

Anson push rod fore-end release.
