20-bore Sidelock Ejector Side by Side by W. R. Leeson, Serial No: 2013

 

 

best 20-bore Sidelock with 28" original steel barrels with concave game rib,  chambered for 2½" cartridges, choked ⅛ and ¼. Rib engraved W. R. Leeson Limited Ashford, Kent & 41 Maddox Street, Bond Street, London, W.   Original London Proof marks. Gun dates from approximately 1910/11. Anson push rod forend release.

The action is a traditional double bite type with disc set strikers and typical "Leeson" conical fences. The lock plates are fully engraved with scroll and retain much original finish and colour. Makers name engraved on lock plates W R Leeson Ltd.

The gun has recently been re-stocked and has a straight hand grip, the stock LOP measures 15¼"  and is cast slightly for a right hander.

The gun is cased in makers leather case with accessories.
