20-bore Sidelock Ejector by W. R.

High quality 20-bore
Bar Action Sidelock with 29" steel barrels, chambered for 2¾"
cartridges and choked approximately ½ and ¾. Concaved game rib engraved W. R. Leeson 3 Warwick
Street, Regent Street, London. W. The action has conventional
fences and includes the Webley Screw Grip third bite with the blade type extension. It
carries the London Proof House marks and was proofed after 1925.
The frame with
best border and
Rose scroll engraving carries the makers name, W R Leeson. faint
traces of original case hardening.
The forend uses the Anson push rod
release and is fitted with Southgate ejectors. The locks were made by Edwin Chilton & Son
(Wolverhampton) and
are fitted with intercepting safety sears.
The
Prince of Wales
stock has a LOP of
15¼" including a ¾"
Silvers style recoil pad. It is well figured including the "Tiger" stripping
effect.
