High quality Sidelock with 30" Nitro Proofed browned
Damascus barrels in wonderful condition. No:1 gun of a pair. Top rib
engraved W. R. Leeson, Ashford, Kent & 29 Maddox Street, London. Both
barrels choked Improved. As was common with Leeson guns the Webley
Screw Grip with the Dolls head extension is fitted to provide the third bite
style barrel/action.
The action has the attractive finely fluted
(Leeson) fences
and is engraved W. R. Leeson on the lock plates. Fine scroll and
border engraving to both action and fences. Action fitted with disk set
strikers.
Fitted with 14⅝" well figured stock (with small
extension - not perfectly matched).
The forend is fitted with the Anson push rod
type release.
Cased in its original canvas brass cornered
motor case with makers trade label and accessories including cleaning rod
and oil pot.
